Our Neck of the Woods: Chattanooga Area Farmers Markets

Spring has officially sprung, and not a moment too soon!  Don’t get me wrong - we love the wintertime in its own way, but there’s nothing like the coming of spring.  Long days, windows down, no sleeves, full bloom.  There’s an energy in the air that you can’t quite put your finger on, but you feel it every time you step outside.

After a long, cold winter we couldn't be more excited for this beautiful weather, and to start our springtime right we’d like to share the definitive list of farmers markets in the Chattanooga area, courtesy of TasteBuds.  After all, we can’t think of a better way to celebrate the growing season than by supporting local farms, and by knowing exactly where the food you’re eating came from.  Let’s get started.

For more info on each of these farmers markets, just follow the links in the titles their various websites and social media pages. All of the info above was gathered by TasteBuds, Chattanooga's free guide to finding locally grown and crafted foods. Printed copies can be found at several partner locations downtown, or by stopping by Crabtree Farms located at 1000 E 30th Street. As always, we encourage everyone to buy local, fresh, and organic foods, and shopping at any of these farmers markets is the perfect place to start. You'll be supporting your local economy, and your body will thank you for it, so everyone wins!
